There are so many benefits of a smoothie. Have you ever tried turmeric in a smoothie? I am sure many of you have tried tumeric tea or used it as a face mask.
One of the great benefits of tumeric in a smoothie is it is anti-inflammatory and if paired with fresh ginger which is another powerful anti-inflammatory food – your taste buds are in for a smoothie surprise.
The smoothie we are making today is also great for the flu season.
Let’s blend…

INGREDIENTS
2 Big carrots
1 Whole orange
1/5 Lemon
1 teaspoon of tumeric
2 Slices of Ginger
Water or Coconut Water
SWAPS
Keep Carrots
Keep Oranges
Keep Ginger
Keep Tumeric
Keep Lemon
Swap coconut water for water
PREPARATION
Wash, peel and chop your carrots and chop into small pieces and place them in your blender, add your base and blend for one minute. Add your other ingredients -oranges and ginger )and blend on FULL power until it is smooth. Serves two people.
This is a great smoothie to for the flu season and the ginger gives this smoothie that much required taste.
